Carburetor – General Chainsaw Adjustment

Adjusting the carburettor involves adjusting the engine to the local conditions e.g. climate, altitude, fuel and type of two-stroke oil. The carburettor is equipped with three adjustment options.
L = Low speed jet
H = High speed jet
T = Idling adjustment screw

The L and H jets adjust the fuel flow to match the airflow that the throttle valve opening allows. Turning them clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture weaker (less fuel in relation to the amount of air) and turning them anti-clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture richer. A weak mixture increases the engine speed and a rich mixture decreases the engine speed. The T screw controls the throttle position when idling. Turning the T screw clockwise gives faster idling; turning it anti-clockwise lowers idling speed (see manual for complete guide).

Efficient chainsaw with high safety features

The Husky E Triobrake is almost identical to the Husqvarna 440, difference is that the 440E has a convenient tool-less chain tensioner & has an extra spring in the starter to make it easier to start. Second generation lightweight and efficient all-round saw, ideal for those looking for a chainsaw that is exceptionally easy to start and operate.

Equipped with an X-TORQ engine that ensures lower fuel consumption and harmful exhaust emissions. Starts easily with SmartStart, fuel boost pump and a stop button that provides automatic stop return. (AUTO RETURN) Suitable for hobby felling of average trees up to 35cm in diameter.

The Husqvarna 440 E-series X-Torq delivers both power and a high level of safety. It’s ideal for beginners because it’s well balanced and has double kickback protection. The chainsaw sits comfortably in the hand and produces very little vibration. It’s easy to clean and seamless to top up with oil and petrol. However, we find the snap fasteners on the cylinder housing a little fiddly. They tend to wear and break over time.

The 440 E-series Triobrake is a good chainsaw for individuals who regularly saw trees of varying sizes; people looking for both high levels of safety and a user-friendly chainsaw will be happy with this Husky chainsaw.
