Carburetor – General Chainsaw Adjustment

Adjusting the carburettor involves adjusting the engine to the local conditions e.g. climate, altitude, fuel and type of two-stroke oil. The carburettor is equipped with three adjustment options.
L = Low speed jet
H = High speed jet
T = Idling adjustment screw

The L and H jets adjust the fuel flow to match the airflow that the throttle valve opening allows. Turning them clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture weaker (less fuel in relation to the amount of air) and turning them anti-clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture richer. A weak mixture increases the engine speed and a rich mixture decreases the engine speed. The T screw controls the throttle position when idling. Turning the T screw clockwise gives faster idling; turning it anti-clockwise lowers idling speed (see manual for complete guide).

The Husky 450 E-Series Chainsaw is a great all around chainsaw with a perfect balance of professional-grade power and performance.

Husqvarna equips these saws with a 50.2 cc, 3.2 hp engine. This engine features X-Torq technology, allowing for lower fuel consumption and reduced exhaust emissions. These reductions meet even the world?s most strict environmental regulations.

A Smart Start design enables you to start the machine quickly with minimal effort. A combined choke/stop control minimizes the risk of engine flooding. The Husqvarna E-Series improves felling precision by adding distinct marks to the saw. A visible fuel level makes it easy to check fuel levels.

The ergonomic rear handle features a soft inlay, ergonomic trigger, and asymmetrical grip, making this saw as comfortable as it is efficient. Husqvarna?s LowVib system reduces vibration levels to the operator, minimizing fatigue during use. The inertia-activated chain brake reduces the likelihood of injury due to saw kickback.

A three-piece forged crankshaft allows for maximum durability even during the toughest jobs. The E-Series? centrifugal air cleaning system removes larger particles before they even reach the air filter. This system reduces the need for cleaning the filters and increases the lifetime of the engine. When it is time to clean the air filter, a quick-release makes the process fast and easy. A tool-less chain tension system makes assembly a breeze.

Husqvarna engineered their E-Series to be the perfect all-around saw. Its features make it ideal for professionals looking for a reliable chainsaw.
