The Stihl MS 240 came into being in 2002. It was developed from the Stihl 024; which was first made in 1993 and like all good Stihl’s it grew into an MS version; when the product range in was rebranded by the company in 2002. It is a midweight saw which is very popular today with homesteaders and farmers. It has a 41.6cc engine and carries a 16″ – 40cm Bar. Stihl classifies it as a professional petrol chainsaw.
