Carburetor – General Chainsaw Adjustment
Adjusting the carburettor involves adjusting the engine to the local conditions e.g. climate, altitude, fuel and type of two-stroke oil. The carburettor is equipped with three adjustment options.
L = Low speed jet
H = High speed jet
T = Idling adjustment screw
The L and H jets adjust the fuel flow to match the airflow that the throttle valve opening allows. Turning them clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture weaker (less fuel in relation to the amount of air) and turning them anti-clockwise makes the fuel/air mixture richer. A weak mixture increases the engine speed and a rich mixture decreases the engine speed. The T screw controls the throttle position when idling. Turning the T screw clockwise gives faster idling; turning it anti-clockwise lowers idling speed (see manual for complete guide).

The Husky 41 chainsaw was made between the years 1991 to 1997, the Husqvarna 41 chainsaw was made in the United States by WCI, instead of by Huskvarna, Sweden. The saw featured a 10.1-pound magnesium powerhead and plastic body in the distinctive Husqvarna shade of orange.
Electric and starter
Chainsaw Husqvarna 41 is equipped with an automatic rewind starter. When the motor is running, a Phelon electronic magneto 0.30mm toroid core drives the coil. The coil sends power to either a Master RCJ7Y spark plug or a Bosch WSR6F plug, either of which has a 0.5mm spark plug difference. The 41 ignition is fixed.
Fuel and oil
Regular unleaded petrol is suitable for the Husqvarna 41. However, as it has a two-stroke engine, petrol needs to be mixed with lubricating oil. Husqvarna recommends using their chainsaw, mixing oil and mixing it with gasoline in a ratio of 50 parts fuel to one part oil. The saw’s fuel tank can hold up to 13.5 ounces of this mixture at any given time.
Engine
A one cylinder gasoline engine with 40 M3 cm displacement powers the Husqvarna 41. It has a cylinder Bore of 40 mm and a piston stroke of 32 mm. The motor can produce 2.5 horsepower with a maximum speed of 13,000 revolutions per minute or 9000 rpm when used for cutting. The engine also has a Walbro WT-202 or WT-239 or ZAMA C1Q-W5 or W6 carburetor, which together with the cellulose fiber air filter, provides the fuel/air mixture for ignition.
Bar and chain
Chainsaw model 41 works with guide bars between 13 and 18 inches. Husqvarna requires the use of an Oregon 91SG or 33SL type chain, with either a 0.325 or 0.375-inch low profile chain pitch.
