The Stihl 026 was first produced in 1988 and is still in production today, Stihl 026 manual is suitable for this chainsaw. It changed its name in the 2002 rebranding by the company to Stihl MS 260. It is one of Stihl’s professional range of saws. It weighs about the same as a 024 but has a greater displacement so gets the job done quicker.
The two-stroke engine operates on a 50:1 fuel/oil mixture, and the manufacturer recommends fuel with a minimum octane rating of 89. The saw has a breakerless ignition system powered by an M14 X 1.25 plug and an all-position diaphragm carburetor with an integrated fuel pump. Chain lubricant is stored in a 0.29-liter (0.61-pint) tank and distributed by an automatic plunger-type pump. The user can also control oil flow manually.
